In the hills of West Virginia there has been a long tradition of neighbor helping neighbor. Times have changed. Younger people have gone to urban areas, leaving their aging loved ones, and those with special needs no one to depend on. The desire to help remains strong in Wayne county. It was because of this need that the Wayne County Community Service Organization (WCCSO) was incorporated in 1983. WCCSO acts as a community focal point for the coordination of many programs and services benefiting those in need in Wayne County.
